Traveling with twins… Do’s and Don’ts.

We recently took a trip to the Cayman Islands w| our nine month old twins and our eight year old daughters. This would of been our first international trip w| the kids and BOY was my hubs and I anxious and NERVOUS AF. Nervous more so for the twins as to they’ve never been been around a large number of people (airport germs) and on a airplane. So, my husband thought of the grand idea of traveling internationally w| kids during the BUSIEST time of the year. Well I am here to admit it wasn’t THAT bad… we had a lot of shit but it wasn’t so bad that we’ve book our next international trip w| the girls in March. So if your looking for a sign to take the trip w| the kids…TAKE THE TRIP. lol

I will start off with the DONTS when traveling with littles. If your littles are eating table food do not wait to feed them in flight… I just feel like it isn’t a lot of space and it can just get messy trying to eat inflight. Do not wait till your inflight to change diapers | take them to use the bathroom. I understand emergencies and accidents but try to keep them in their seats or in your row of seats causes less curiosity to try moving around in an aircraft. I feel like there may be a lot of things to not do while traveling w| your littles but let’s get into the positive side of traveling… becauseeee we want traveling to come with ease and peacefulness when traveling with KIDS.

If you are taking your infant | toddlers on a trip… I would recommend trying to book flight times around nap or bed times, so that they can sleep inflight. Getting to the airport earlier then boarding times is helpful as well as to you just never know how TSA is going to be and being on time…ahead of time makes everyone less stressed. I would also try and feed and do potty breaks before boarding as well. Don’t forget their their comforts like a toy or blanket. If they have access to tablets… let them have their screen time during the flight.

I found that doing these things helped a lot with traveling with our twins! It made our first time flying made things go a lot smoother in flight and we didn’t have restless | fussy babies. We actually got a lot of compliments on how well behaved our twins were which made me happy and more comfortable to travel with them.

If you have some pointers or tips that I didn’t mention feel free to share in the comment box below.

Happy Traveling.
