TEN baby items every TWIN mom needs!!

Calling all my twin momma’s!!! If you are expecting or new to the twin world, this post if JUST for you. I will be sharing all the things that I have personally used to help with those first hazy months of twin life. I have personally used ALL off these things and they have been a BIG help when trying to navigate TWO little babies.

I had preemie babies, so I was not comfortable with my little 5lb babies sleeping in their nursery (crib) or a bassinet, so I found that the dockatot to be very useful because they were snug and safe bedside of me AND when I was moving around in the house I was able to take it with me like put on the couch, my bed, etc. and YES I had two. We were gifted one from our baby shower but after the twins were born and I saw how convenient and useful it was we got a second one :)

The twin Z pillow is a STAPLE.  This is a soft pillow that is meant for infant support, it can be used for breast or bottle feeding, and tummy time.  I found this to be easier for me to sit my twins in while I bathed one at a time or when it was time to feed them because even though having two hands with twins you need four or more. Lol

The hatch machine is useful for that white noise and to check the time in the middle of those night feedings.  For my babies it kept them calm and as they got older and transitioned into their nursery we use it as a nightlight along with their soothing sound machine.  The WHITE noise works WONDERS.  I didn’t believe it until I saw it with my own eyes & babies.

The 4moms MamaRoo swing is a swing that offer different swing movements and sounds to help put your baby to sleep along with having your baby sleep for longer.  I found this useful for my babies because when one was fussy or restless, I would sit one of then right in this swing they would instantly calm down and or fall asleep.  My favorite setting on the machine was the kangaroo setting with the white noise.

The Playtex diaper genie… I mean let’s be honest… you have two babies…. You need to put the sh*tty diapers somewhere!!! Surprisingly, it does keep all the stinky smells out which is a hugeeee +.

Hatch baby grow and scale is a two in one scale and changing pad. This was a must for me as because my twins were preemies so I wanted to be sure that they were gaining weight coming out of the NICU.  I highly recommend a changing pad | table because things can get messy and its just easier to have your baby on a safe flat surface in between changes AND a lot of the changing pads allows you to strap your baby down so they cannot move in between changes.

I knew I wanted a baby carrier, so I went with the Colugo Baby Carrier to get the extra cuddles with either of my babies when they were awake and also to get that extra bonding time.  With two babies I was finding it a little harder trying bond with the both of them at the same time. So while one nap or something and I needed to get other things done around the house and not have the mom guilt I would put on my carrier. Happy momma... Happy Baby… clean house.

Now now now… the Baby Breeza Formula Pro machine… I literally cried when the twins could start using this.  I mean not having to hand make a bottle… not having to warm a bottle after you have hand made it… TALK.. ABOUT… CONVENIENCE?! Those middle of the night feedings … I feel like this item just SPEAKS for itself. If you get the Baby Breeza Pro, there is an app that you can download onto your smart phone and at the push of a button on your phone make the bottle in advance for you!!

Though I was not able to breastfeed for as long as I wanted I knew I wanted a rocking chair just to have in the nursery to be able to bond with either of my babies and to secretly just go in and watch over them or fold up their laundry.  The Glider and ottoman comes with storage so I am able to put keepsake things like blankets from the hospital or just anything inside of it. I know find myself just going in sitting watching the twins or bond with them in the rocking chair.

Lastly, I wanted a bouncer for the comfort for my baby.  When they were teeny tiny, they would just chill in it and watch me or watch tv from it.  It was especially good for one of my babies who had a little bit of acid reflux so it was convenient for her to sit up after a feeding for at least thirty mins or so and this did just the job.

Im sure thee are items that may or may not work for a new mom and with this day in age there are so many baby items | gadgets out there, but these items has work for me and my family and hopefully this is some insight for you to be able to get things that may be helpful for you and your family. Let me know which products you used and or worked for you and your babies as well.
